Traffic

Ahoy Rotterdam is easily accessible by public transport. during the
North sea Jazz weekend, traffic will be extra heavy on access roads.
Parking spots will not be readily available. for this reason we advise
you to come by public transport.
Please check this site for up-to-date information regarding the accessibility of the festival. For all questions about hotel bookings, transport and any other information about Rotterdam, please go to the Service Desk Rotterdam during the festival. This desk is situated in the entrance hall next to the entrance gates.
Bike
If you prefer coming by bike, Ahoy has a free, supervised bikegarage available.
Taxi
You can find a taxi stand in front of Ahoy.
Subway/bus
You can reach Ahoy perfectly by subway (metro Erasmuslijn, stop at Zuidplein) and more than 30 bus lines. Especially for the North Sea Jazz Festival, the subway has an extended night schedule until 3.30 AM on Friday and Saturday night. You can also use the regular night busses (BOB-bus) to several destinations in and around Rotterdam.
For more information visit www.ret.nl, www.9292ov.nl or T. 0900 – 9292 (50 cpm).
Car
Ahoy Rotterdam is easily accessible by road as well as by public transport. Because of limited parking space around Ahoy and possible queuing on the access roads to and from Rotterdam, we advise you to come to Ahoy by public transport. If you do wish to come by car however, follow the signs P-Ahoy that will guide you to the nearest available parking area.
Transport tickets
For the Rotterdam metro you need the smart card (“OV-chipkaart”). A special throw-away smart card is available for non-residents. If you need a return ticket, choose the option ‘RET 2 metro reizen’ for € 4.90. If you want to have unlimited access to the metro system for one day, you opt for a day ticket (‘dagkaart’) for € 6. For the night bus (BOB-bus) special tickets are available on the bus (no smart cards).
Ticket Sales
The throw-away smart card for the metro can be purchased at RET sales and information desks at Rotterdam Central Station or the machines at the metro stations. Day tickets can be ordered in advance through the RET web shop. During the festival RET has an extra ticket outlet at Ahoy. The special night bus tickets are available on the night bus (no smart cards).
Night train
Take the train to the North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam
Ahoy is easily accessible by public transport. Upon reaching Central Station, festival visitors can continue their journey with the special night trains provided by NS. However, on Saturday night there will be no night trains between Rotterdam and Utrecht and between Rotterdam and Dordrecht. Alternatives for travelers in those directions:
• Going to Utrecht, by way of Gouda, travel via The Hague or Amsterdam or opt for a bus service to Gouda and Utrecht;
• Going to Dordrecht, travel by bus going from Rotterdam Central Station to Dordrecht Central Station.
Visitors going to Breda and continuing further south can make use of the special NS night trains.
Please consult www.ns.nl for updated timetables for your train or alternative bus lines.
Busarrangements
CONNEXXION offers bus trips to and from Ahoy from all regions in the country. For more information www.connexxiontours.nl
TIP: Did you buy the special three-day North Sea travel ticket last year?
If this is the case, you can re-use this OV smart card this year. You can
recharge your OV smart card with a day ticket or charge it with a so-called
travel amount (‘reissaldo’) at the RET sales and information desks or the
machines at the metro stations.
